In Hanoi  we visited the Ho Chi Minh Memorial.

All Systems are Go

The suitcases are packed (yes, once again I am taking too many clothes), the fridge is bare, the bills are paid, mail & paper stopped. Hope I haven't forgotten anything. We are leaving a house in which carpet and wallboard have been torn out and buckets to collect the rain. The California rain has wreaked havoc with our roof and caused a considerable amount of damage inside on two floors. It will be nice to go somewhere nice and warm and deal with the problem when we return.

I'm not looking forward to the seventeen hour flight(s) tomorrow but haven't figured out how Dorothy and her red shoes cut down travel time.

Sign up for tour, make sure passports are current, apply for Vietnam visa, visit travel clinic to get required/recommended immunizations, go through all the paperwork sent from VBT, the list goes on. It takes a lot of time to get ready for a two week journey to Vietnam and Cambodia but the countdown has begun, only 14 days until we leave!
